Get Involved
Representing nurses and health care practitioners from Harrogate to Hull and from Selby to Sheffield, the RCN in Yorkshire and the Humber depends on its 34,000 members to help promote excellence in practice and shape regional health policies.
You can get more involved in your RCN by attending branch meetings, joining a regional network or professional forum or just by getting in touch with the regional office to find out more.
The backbone of our support for members is provided by our regional representatives. These are individuals who start out as ordinary members and decide to take up our comprehensive training and support in order to promote excellent practice and work with employers to support their colleagues. Becoming a rep is an excellent way of getting more involved in our work. Find out more here.
There are four branches in our region, and every RCN member is automatically a member of their nearest branch. You are welcome to attend meetings to meet other members and find out more about local activity. You can find out which branch you belong to by checking your details in MyRCN.
If you're reading this and you're not yet a member of the RCN, then join today.
