Watch online - RCN Wales Betsi Cadwaladr Biennial lecture
On 9 May 2024, RCN Wales held the Betsi Cadwaladr Biennial Lecture, which is now available to view online.
At this event we were joined by Professor Donna Mead OBE, CStJ, FRCN, who gave a brief history of the life of Welsh nurse, Betsi Cadwaladr. We were also joined by Adele Cordner and Clare Drewett from Her Story Theatre Company, who performed a scene from their play, 'Daughter of Bala', which really brought Betsi to life!
Our keynote speaker for this event was International Best selling Author, Amanda Prowse, who spoke candidly about her life, career, and personal experiences with nurses and health care professionals.
Please note that this event includes references to miscarriage, and mental ill-health including depression and suicide.
