Learning in Practice Award

Sponsored by The Open University in Northern Ireland

The Learning in Practice Award is open to all registered nurses working in health and social care in Northern Ireland who have provided support for learning and development to a health care assistant, nursing student or registered nurse. The candidate will be required to demonstrate how they have provided support for learning and development and gone beyond the expectation of the learner or learners they have supported.

Nominations are invited from fellow health care professionals and students.

Who can be nominated?

Nominees for the Learning in Practice Award must currently be working as a registered nurse in Northern Ireland. Please check that the person you wish to nominate is content for you to nominate them. Nominations must be made by someone who is familiar with the work of the nominee.

How to apply

Fill out the application form below and complete a summary (up to 500 words) showing evidence of:

• the nature of the support provided

• how the learner or learners benefited from the support provided

• how the nominee exceeded the expectations of the learner or learners.
