Directors of Nursing Award

This award is open to registered nurses and midwives in leadership roles at lead level, (8A) up to Assistant Director, working within health and social care services in Northern Ireland. Candidates should demonstrate:

• Passion for developing their leadership and collective leadership
• Understanding 21st century whole system population health challenges
• Enabling professionalism
• Collaborative working with a range of stakeholders
• Innovation and creativity
• Effective influencing skills

How to apply:

Fill out the application form below and complete a summary (up to 500 words) to demonstrate the following criteria:

• How the candidate has developed professionally and personally through connecting with others, learning from others and developed as a reflective practitioner
• How they have reflected on and developed their leadership style, and developed their leadership knowledge, skills, competence and confidence to enable them to be a future nursing and midwifery leader
• How they have adapted professionally during the pandemic, and how they have transferred their new learning to influence practice and service delivery
• Demonstrate and describe what professionalism looks like every day in practice and what you do to demonstrate and role-model this.
