
Voting in the election for the Wales seat on RCN Council has now closed. Tristan Griffin has been elected by members to represent them in Wales.
A dual qualified nurse in general (trauma/orthopaedic) and mental health nursing, Tristan has worked in the military, independent health and social care sector and the NHS, progressing through the career pathway to senior management. He has worked as a nurse tutor, programme director at a school of nursing for post-graduate nurses and is now engaged in analysis and assurance. Tristan has previously supported the work of the RCN in various roles, including as learning rep and RCN Wales Board member.
RCN Council consists of one representative each from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and one from each of England’s nine regions. It includes a member to represent health care practitioners and one for students. RCN Council provides strategic leadership and direction for the organisation and its vision.
