Get ready to celebrate nursing support workers

20 Oct 2022

RCN Nursing Support Workers' Day is back for its third year on Wednesday 23 November.

This autumn we’ll showcase the diverse roles of nursing support workers as we celebrate their incredible work and the difference they make to the lives of patients, families and carers.

There are many ways you and your colleagues can get involved. Download posters for your workplace from the RCN website, as well as graphics for social media to share how you plan to mark the day.

You can order free Nursing Support Workers’ Day badges from the RCN website; orders will be sent out from 31 October. For the first time this year you’ll also be able to buy an enamel badge from the RCN shop to show your support.

Following the huge success of the day last year, Kevin Morley, Chair of the RCN UK Nursing Support Workers Committee, wants even more people to get involved this November.

“Use the day to celebrate the importance of our work and the breadth of roles and settings we work in,” he said. "This is an opportunity to tell our story as nursing support workers and show appreciation for our colleagues all over the UK.”
