The RCN London Board is elected by London members to represent members across the capital. The Board meets three times a year and Board members advise and support our Regional Director, Lisa Elliott, and her team.

New Board Chair

Aidan Slowie, who has been an RCN member since the 1990s, is the new RCN London Board Chair. He began his role at the start of January. Aidan brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, having worked in the NHS for more than 30 years and he is currently a Lead Nurse at King’s College Hospital supporting the Director of Nursing.

“As someone who is dedicated to nursing and improving working conditions for all colleagues, it’s an honour to be elected as the RCN London Board Chair,” said Aidan.

“With more than three decades’ worth of experience working in the NHS, I’m truly passionate about our health service and ensuring its sustainable future.

“But it’s not just the NHS: I’m passionate about the whole nursing profession, especially when it comes to highlighting the value of having a diverse workforce.

“As Chair, I want to bring authenticity, compassion, and trust to the RCN London Board.”

New Vice Chair

We are also excited to introduce Alice Denga as the RCN London Board Vice Chair. Since 2019, Alice has been working as Head of Nursing in Gynaecology Services at Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust. She is also a member of a member of the RCN steering committee for Fertility Nurses and Senior Infertility Nursing Group.
