Learning Event: Gaming Harm Awareness
Our September learning event and branch meeting will be held from 2pm-4pm on 30 September and will be hybrid. Members can attend in-person in the Lecture Theatre, Hull York Medical School (HYMS) building at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Scartho Road, Grimsby, DN33 2BA, or online via Microsoft Teams. The Teams link will be sent to members by the events team when they have completed their booking.
Our latest learning event will be on Gaming Harm Awareness with Lois Mundy, Training and Delivery Manager for Health and Social Care at the Young Gamers & Gamblers Education Trust (Ygam). The charity was established in 2014 and its mission is to prevent children and young people from experiencing gaming and gambling harms through awareness raising, education and research. Ygam provide free, City & Guilds assured training for professionals working with children and young people.
The remaining scheduled time will be used for a branch meeting; planning future activity and consideration of local issues of importance and interest to members.
All members of the Humber branch are welcome to attend these regular learning events and branch meetings. They are a great way of connecting with colleagues and other local RCN members and they are FREE to attend.
