RCN Coventry and Warwickshire AGM and Learning Event: Environmental sustainability and resilient care

All RCN Coventry and Warwickshire members are invited to attend their Annual General Meeting, which is being held virtually this year. The meeting will also incorporate an event focusing on sustainability, responsible healthcare, and how the nursing family can make small changes to significantly reduce the environmental footprint of health care practice.
Learning event
Presented by Dr Heather Baid, Principal Lecturer at the University of Brighton's School of Education, Sport and Health, this session will look at environmental sustainability and resilient care.
Climate change is a threat to humanity and life on this planet. Sustainability involves responsible health care which does not put future financial, environmental and social resourcing at risk. In addressing the environmental aspect, through small changes the collective effort of the nursing family could significantly reduce the environmental footprint of health care practice. Nursing is the largest health care profession, and there is power in numbers.
Branch Annual General Meeting
Come along and help make a difference by shaping local branch activities for the year ahead and electing your branch committee members. You can even stand for election yourself if you want to get more involved! The AGM is an opportunity for you to get involved in shaping the future of your branch, have your say on how it's run and learn more about the activities it undertakes.
If you're new to the RCN and this is your first AGM, please get involved - it's a great way to meet colleagues and other RCN members and influence the year ahead.
To register your attendance, please book your place here. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email which includes the link to join the Microsoft Teams meeting on the day.
You will need to log-in to your RCN account before booking. If you don't have an RCN account, it's a really simple process to create one - just follow the steps provided.
You do not need to have the Microsoft Teams app to join the meeting, you can join using the web browser of any internet-enabled device.
