The important role of RCN Council
As the world’s largest nursing union and professional body, we must be at the top of our game in decision making. Achieving that requires dynamic, experienced nursing leaders who ask the right questions and represent every one of our members, at every career stage. That's the role of RCN Council, a group of 17 elected members from across the UK.

Why attend?
This hustings event is a valuable opportunity for you to meet the candidates standing for the Wales Council seat. Each candidate will present their vision and plans for representing Wales on the RCN UK Council. You will have the chance to ask questions and engage in discussions to better understand how each candidate intends to advocate for our members and address the key issues facing nursing in Wales.
Your participation is crucial in ensuring that the elected representative truly reflects the views and needs of our members. We encourage you to join us for this informative and engaging event.
Members can ask questions at the event or can submit questions for the candidates in advance. Email communicationswales@rcn.org.uk with your question and make sure you include your name and membership number in your message. Your personal information will not be shared at the event.
Voting opens on Friday 28 February via a postal ballot which will be sent to your address.
