This event is designed to engage RCN members of diverse backgrounds, including those with links to other countries and those who were educated and worked internationally to shape the direction of the new RCN Institute of Nursing Excellence.
The Institute is made up of five new academies, each with a specific focus on driving improvements and innovation.
The academies share a collective aim to support our members in being brilliant nursing professionals, who:
- Provide outstanding care
- Lead with confidence
- Innovate in brave new ways
- Advocate for their patients, service users, clients and colleagues
- Research nationally and internationally
The RCN institute provides an opportunity to deliver meaningful support to nurses in the UK and across the world – every voice must be heard.

Welcome and introductions
10.30 am – 11.15 am (world café style – 15 mins sessions each
Rotating working groups (through MS Teams breakout rooms) allowing delegates to meet representatives from each academy and education and input into their strategic direction
11.15am – 11.30am

11.30am – 12.15pm (world café style – 15 mins sessions each)
