Branch AGM and executive committee roles up for nomination
The day will incorporate our branch AGM too, so you can get involved in ensuring our reps are ratified for another year, and electing our branch executive committee - or going for a position on it.
Have a read of our 'Branch role descriptor' poster or the more formal governance document going into a bit more detail, as well as our branch election procedure and see if you are tempted to get involved. If you are, please submit a nomination before the AGM date. Email it to the regional office at southwestern.region@rcn.org.uk stating clearly what branch and position you are referring to.
Those who fill it in before the meeting take precedence over those who self-nominate on the day.
While there is a time commitment involved and you do have to volunteer during your leisure time, being on our executive could lead you to some interesting places and people you might otherwise never have encountered. It could also give you some skills and experience that stand you in good stead both personally and professionally.
