This session will guide Reps through the RCN Employment Standards for Independent Health and Social Care Sectors. It will explain the RCN positions relating to fair and appropriate pay, terms and conditions for nursing staff working across independent health and social care settings and talk through how Reps can use the standards in their workplaces.
At the end of the workshop, delegates will be able to:
- Identify the content of the standards
- Understand how to raise the standards in their workplace
- Understand how to use their skills in persuasive conversations and negotiation to challenge their employer when standards are not in place.
