The RCN Fertility Nursing Forum will hold their final online seminar of 2024 featuring Oonagh Pickering, Lead Research Nurse at Tommy's National Centre for Miscarriage Research, who led ground-breaking research into the causes and treatments of baby loss and complications to save babies' lives. The session will be chaired by Buki Fatuga, RCN Fertility Nursing Forum committee member.
Join Oonagh Pickering, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Early Pregnancy and Recurrent Miscarriage.Research is a critical part of improving health care, and the research carried out at Tommy’s can help increase understanding of what causes some women to experience complications and loss. This helps to expand new tests and treatments to detect when things might go wrong, save more babies’ lives and improve care for everyone.
Oonagh is currently working on a range of projects at the Tommy's Research Centre, to improve the care received by people experiencing miscarriage, and will be presenting some of her finding at this event.
