6D Dementia: An online training platform for caregivers and health and social care professionals – Dr Frances Duffy
Dr Frances is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist working in dementia care for over 15 years, and an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur. Her clinical work focuses on older people’s mental health, including dementia diagnosis, post-diagnostic support, and specialist rehabilitation for delirium. Working in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, she developed CLEAR Dementia Care. Frances is Founder and CEO of 6D-Dementia Ltd. She developed the 6D online Dementia Training platform for carergivers and health and social care professionals. She has published best practice papers in dementia commissioned by the Public Health Agency and the British Psychological Society, including guidelines on managing behaviours that challenge. She was a member of the Northern Ireland Dementia Improvement Collaborative who produced the Regional Dementia Care Pathway and the Department of Health Enhancing Clinical Care Framework in Care Homes project. Frances is a committee member of the British Psychological Society Faculty of the Psychology of Older People and NI Division of Clinical Psychology.
Dementia & The Environment, why it matters – David Wilson-Wynne
David Wilson-Wynne is a recognised expert in the field of dementia practice with over 18 years' experience, working within a variety of clinical and non-clinical environments. Having held roles such as, Post Diagnostic Link Worker, Dementia Specialist, Dementia Lead and Lead Clinical Trainer, he has a vast knowledge of care practice. He graduated with an MSc, PGDip & PGCert (Dementia) from the University of Stirling in 2023, where he now has specialist interests in transitional care, people living with a dementia who have criminal convictions and supporting people living with a dementia who have experienced trauma. His presentation will include:

Meeting the needs of LGBTQ+ people living with dementia. A vision for the future - Dr Claudio Di Lorito
Dr Claudio Di Lorito is an ARC North Thames Research Fellow in the Division of Primary Care and Population Health at University College London. Claudio has a Ph.D. in Psychiatry from the University of Nottingham, a Master of Science in Mental Health Studies from King’s College, London and two Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, one from Italy and one from City University of New York, USA. His research focuses on social health and social care of people living with dementia, with a special emphasis on co-design qualitative methods of research with underserved groups including LGBTQ+ communities. Claudio is the author of 50 peer-reviewed publications including the book chapter on older people and crime featured in the latest edition of the oxford textbook of old age psychiatry. He currently acts as Associate Editor of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and Plos One and co-chairs with the social policy unit at King’s College a monthly seminar series and network on LGBTQ+ communities and the life course.
