Hear all about how RCN Congress went and help us lay plans for next year.
The branch has one funded voting member per thousand members in the branch itself, so voting on behalf of your branch is a serious responsibility. Voting members are expected to stay in the auditorium while the entire business of Congress is conducted and every resolution and matter for discussion is debated.
Our branch voting members vote on behalf of the thousands of members in our branch, so all feedback and perspectives are greatly welcomed.
Resolutions passed at Congress form part of the College's work plan for the year ahead, so getting an agenda item accepted onto the programme is a great way of not only raising awareness of an issue, but getting something done about it. As a branch we are one of the entities able to submit agenda items for next year's Congress. The more time for discussion and for planning such a submission the better, so please think about subjects you are passionate about and where would like to see change happen and let's try to make it so.
Whether you're new to Congress and would like to find out more about the process, or you are a regular, we would value your input at this meeting, at which we will report back on the proceedings and how we voted on your behalf.
If you'd like to attend next year, why not come to this meeting, get to know your branch executive team and learn about Congress from our perspective.
Getting to know the branch team and networking locally could open lots of doors for you, so it's well worth booking your place and coming along if you can spare the time.
