RCN Wales will be holding an in-person event hosting a roundtable discussion, exploring the RCN Nursing Workforce Standards and how they can support you and your teams.
This event will be facilitated by RCN Wales Independent Sector & Community Advisor, Majella Kavanagh and Bryn Celyn Care Home, General Manager Nicki Hockly. RCN Wales are delighted to welcome Nicki to share her story and experience of implementing the RCN Workforce Standards at Bryn Celyn Care Home with us.
We are aware of the scale of clinically complex caseloads that you and your teams are managing. The RCN Nursing Workforce Standards support a safe and effective nursing workforce particularly during challenging times. The RCN safe and effective care campaign is applicable to both the NHS and the independent sector.
This event provides an opportunity to network with other colleagues based within the Independent Sector to share stories and your unique experiences of working in Wales.
We hope this event will continue to develop relationships across the sector which will build confidence and amplify the voice of nurses.
This event is open to RCN members and non-members working in the independent health and social care sector in Wales.
13:15 -13:30 - Tour of the facility, please indicate on your booking if you would like to attend the tour.
13:30 -14:00 - Welcome with refreshments available. An opportunity to network with other colleagues based within the Independent Sector.

The room used for this event is within a drug and alcohol service and therefore has very little signage, the building is shared with DVSA driving theory test centre.
There is an NCP carpark nearby or Swansea train station across the road.
