Join this online learning and development event open to all nursing staff and students in the Midlands with an interest in independent health and social care, including RCN members and non-members.
Find out about the workplace and professional support available from the RCN to IHSC nursing staff and hear from four subject expert speakers:
- An overview of Skills for Care support for nurses in social care and the recently-published Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy - Shirley Way, Head of Area (Midlands) for Skills for Care, the strategic workforce development and planning body for adult social care in England;
- The prevalence of health care worker exploitation in the UK: spotting the signs, supporting victims and reporting incidences and concerns - Phil Cain, Director of Operations, Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA);
- Activities in our home - Activities Team, Exemplar Health Care;
- 'I am visibly different and proud': speaking with confidence - Amit Ghose. Amit is a keynote speaker who was born with a condition called Neurofibromatosis Type 1, which has caused him to visibly look very different.
