This session will introduce members to the National Pensioners Convention (NPC), the UK’s key campaigning body for older people, to which the RCN is affiliated. Presentations from RCN representatives and NPC Working Party members will highlight their contributions to the NPC and their wider RCN activism. The session targets members pre-, peri-, or post-retirement, focusing on the opportunities for continued involvement in RCN activism. Delegates will gain insights into challenges facing the ageing population, the impact of government policies on older people, and ongoing contributions to the RCN from retired members. Networking and inspiration for future campaigning will be key outcomes.
