Nurses’ role in a digital world: How to stay human in a non-human world

13 May 2025, 08:00 - 08:45

  • Room 1C, Exhibition Centre Liverpool, King's Dock, Port of Liverpool, Liverpool, L3 4FP
Submitted by the Public Health Forum in collaboration with the Digital Nursing Forum and Fertility Nursing Forum

As care becomes increasingly digitised, this session will explore the evolving role of nurses in providing compassionate, patient-centred care in a digital health care environment. With technology such as robotic hands to hold patients, apps, and robotic dogs to combat loneliness, we'll examine the balance between technology and humanity, and why nursing can't simply be reduced to data. Expert speaker Dr Marion Lynch will guide delegates through the challenges of maintaining the human touch in an increasingly digital world, focusing on how nursing practice adapts to technology while preserving its core values. This session is relevant to all.
