RCN Eastern region members are invited to join this in-person event about finding your professional voice - advocating and empowering.
The event, open to all RCN Eastern members, will be chaired by Charlotte Collings, vice chair of the RCN Eastern Board and features speakers from the RCN's Activism Academy and the NMC.
Eastern Board member Shikha Sharma will explore why some people feel unheard, the power of speaking up and advocating for those you care for, using her unique ABC method, while breaking down the myths of hierarchical communication.
The Activism Academy team with Harry Eccles will also run an interactive workshop, covering the history of the nursing voice and its achievements, as well as how this has shaped modern day nursing and the importance of being engaged and proactive.
The day will conclude with a reflective session, hosted by Wendy Fowler from the NMC, on revalidation with how to make the best of the process and feel prepared.
The event will also include well-being activities throughout the day.
This session is suitable for anyone within the nursing workforce, including support workers, students and registrants, so please book your place now to join us either in person or online.
