Royal College of Nursing comments on the NHS England Help us to help you campaign
Responding to NHS England's ‘Help us to help you’ campaign, Susan Masters, RCN Director of Nursing, Policy and Public Affairs said:
“All nursing staff understand the importance of encouraging both men and women to check for the symptoms of cancer and seek advice if they have any concerns.
“Along with regular screening and effective follow up, early diagnosis and treatment save lives.
"We need to see more work done to make services easily accessible to everyone, provide opportunistic reminders and reduce barriers that may put people off seeking the help they may need.”
