Nichola Baker has been nursing since 2008. She wanted to be a nurse from a young age and loved interacting with patients and teaching the public. But when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived, she didn't realise how much the virus would devastate her career.
Nursing staff have been disproportionately affected by long COVID. Many nurses and nursing support workers now face losing the careers they love. Nichola shares her story, the struggle to find support, and how the RCN has helped her.
