From borrowing a book to improving your information literacy, our libraries offer a wide range of physical and online resources and facilities to support your learning.

Borrowing

RCN members can borrow up to eight items for a period of four weeks.

Dissertation and essay support

We offer a range of support and resources to help you write your dissertation and essays.

Literature searching

Request a literature search. We will search a range of resources and email a list of references to you within ten working days. This service is available to healthcare support workers and qualified nurse members of the RCN.

Referencing tools and training

We offer RCN members support with the use of two referencing tools, ZoteroBib and Zotero. Find out which one of them is right for you, and how to get started with the tool of your choice.

Writing support

Do you need help with your writing skills? We run workshops with published writers through the Royal Literary Fellows scheme.

Family History

We hold a large range of records which relate to nursing history. These pages contain advice on finding and using nursing records.

Laptop Loans

The Library & Heritage Centre offers laptops for RCN members free of charge. Laptops are available on a first come, first served basis.
