This event will showcase a collaborative initiative between local hospices, acute trusts, and universities aimed at preparing first-year nursing students for end-of-life care experiences. Through end-of-life simulation sessions facilitated by educators from both health care settings and universities, students gain essential skills and understanding before their first placement. The collaboration has expanded to include a dedicated end-of-life conference for all first-year nursing students, regardless of specialty. The session will highlight the importance of collaborative working, demonstrating how expertise and resources from various sectors can be used to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based training.
