05 Jun 2024, 17:45 - 18:30

  • 2A, ICC Wales, Coldra Woods, Newport, NP18 1HQ
Hosted by: RCN General Practice Nursing Forum

Collaboration: RCN London, RCNi, RCN Fellow Joanne Bosanquet

RCN Nurse of the Year 2023, Julie Roye, Head of Primary Care at East London Foundation Trust, brought together a multidisciplinary team, patients and population health leads to make significant improvements to cervical screening uptake in a diverse patient population. Julie was chosen as RCN Nurse of the Year from over 900 entries. She is an inspiring role model for our profession.

The Queen’s Nurse will share her strategies for addressing the health inequalities experienced by different ethnic communities and ensuring inclusivity for trans men and non-binary people. Julie will share how she developed staff and inspired the multidisciplinary team. She will demonstrate how she used data to transform a failing practice, and how she achieved a change of culture within it.

Nurse managers and leaders at all levels can learn from her transformation of a failing service through staff and its impact on care.

This event is aimed at all delegates.
