Demystifying enhanced practice: What does it mean for you and what is the difference between enhanced and advanced level of practice?

05 Jun 2024, 17:45 - 18:30

  • Auditorium, ICC Wales, Coldra Woods, Newport, NP18 1HQ
Hosted by: RCN General Practice Nursing Forum

Collaboration: Advanced Nurse Practitioner Forum

The education level of enhanced practice covers the graduate professional workforce who are delivering the majority of clinical activity, those who have moved beyond novice/competent and who are not working at the level of advanced practice.

This informative session will raise awareness and recognition of this level of practice, enabling and encouraging nurses to take on these roles, whilst ensuring they have the appropriate, underpinning education and remuneration to support them in providing safe and complex care to patients.

This approach supports career development and retention of our most experienced, skilled, and knowledgeable nurses.

Attendees will be given an understanding of what working at an enhanced level means by demystifying the role of enhanced practice and the difference between enhanced and advanced level within the national framework.

Suitable for all levels of registered nurse, especially those working in the private, voluntary and independent sector who take on specialist roles but may find many challenges to having their knowledge and skills recognised by their employer.
