12 May 2025, 12:45 - 13:30
Submitted by the RCN Advanced Nurse Practitioner Forum
This session will explore the role of restorative clinical supervision (RCS) in supporting the emotional well-being and professional development of the UK nursing workforce. Rooted in reflection, resilience, and restoration, RCS helps nurses process challenges and deliver high-quality care in demanding environments. The session will focus on RCS as part of the professional nurse advocate programme in England, aligning with RCN education standards. It will also examine its impact on individuals and organisations, sharing best practices for integrating RCS into nursing education and practice. Attendees will gain insight into the design and implementation of RCS models, exploring strategies to ensure equitable access for all nurses. Key outcomes include understanding RCS principles, learning evidence-based implementation strategies, and evaluating RCS’s impact on nursing practice and workforce well-being. This session is designed for all delegates and aims to combat burnout and promote resilience.
