  • 2A, ICC Wales, Coldra Woods, Newport, NP18 1HQ
Hosted by: RCN Research Forum and RCN Fellows

Collaboration: RCN Research Forum, East Midlands Branch - Nottinghamshire, RCN England, University of Glasgow, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and King's College London.

This session will showcase the broad ranging types of research taking place across nursing and the diverse range of research roles and opportunities available to nurses. It aims to dispel myths around research, making research everybody’s business and accessible to all. The event will include a panel of speakers, celebrating the research of nurses working in different fields, roles and contexts.

The session will introduce the RCN’s Research Strategy and visions for the future, spotlight research in academia and clinical practice, and highlight opportunities to become involved in research through forums, networks and collaborations.

Outcomes for attendees include:

  • increased recognition of how research impacts education, policy, health, social care and patient outcomes and how this might be promoted
  • engaging with research through improved awareness, access to resources, opportunities, networking and leadership.

This event is aimed at all nursing staff working in any role, specialty or grade, with the core message being that research is for all nurses, in all roles and levels.
