People with a learning disability in Wales live, on average, 20 years less than the general population – a stark indicator of the health inequalities they face. Learning disability nurses play a vital role in addressing these disparities. This report explores the challenges and sets out five key recommendations for the Welsh Government to ensure there are enough skilled professionals to meet the needs of people with a learning disability across Wales.
