Care Certificate Standards

The Care Certificate was launched in April 2015 and over the past six years, thousands of health and social care support workers have successfully met the standards. Since the launch, standards have been updated where there have been changes to legislation e.g. the introduction of GDPR and changes to the Resuscitation guidelines. In 2021, however, it was agreed that a refresh of all the Care Certificate standards should be completed to ensure the standards continue to reflect current best practice across health and social care.  Health and care subject matter experts have been consulted on the changes.
