Consultation: Draft Regulations to define ‘objects’ used in intimate piercing procedures
The Welsh Government would like our views on draft regulations that define ‘objects’ to prohibit their use in intimate piercing on people under 18.
The current legislation makes it an offence to perform an intimate piercing on under 18s in Wales. The regulations will widen the scope of the legislation to cover the following:
- flesh plugs
- flesh tunnels
- dermal and micro-dermal anchors
- skin divers
- any other object which is not jewellery.
Please find the consultation document, annexes, and a word version of the response form which may help to shape your comments on the Welsh Government website here: https://beta.gov.wales/draft-regulations-define-objects-used-intimate-piercing-procedures
This consultation has been rated “response desirable”.
