Our strategy

  • Supporting the “End diabetes stigma and discrimination” campaign and encouraging members to sign up individually.
  • Aim to increase forum membership by up to 25% through social media engagement and events such as webinars, conferences.
  • Increase the link nurse membership of the forum committee to include Paediatric nurses, and GPN, DN or LD nurses so the forum reflects the areas where diabetes care takes place.
  • Utilise surveys/polls for our members to find out the challenges they face with caring for people with diabetes.
  • Promote Peer to peer support and increase lived experienced voice for members with diabetes.
  • Explore diabetes prevention for our members.
