POLICY: Scottish Parliament inquiry into palliative care in Scotland

01 August 2015
The RCN Scotland written evidence to the Scottish Parliament’s Health and Sport Committee inquiry into palliative care in Scotland
Those in need of palliative care should experience a service which is delivered in a timely and seamless manner, accessing care in a coordinated and compassionate way at the end of life.

In this evidence, RCN Scotland set out the key elements of how to improve care, including access to services, seamless transition, building community and care sector capacity, training for those delivering care and also changing public perceptions about death and dying.
