An RCN Scotland briefing to support nurses to understand the key elements of clinical and care governance under health and social care integration
This briefing is designed to support nurses to understand the key elements of clinical and care governance under health and social care integration. It has been written as part of an RCN nurse leadership programme on health and social care integration, sponsored by the Scottish Government.

The briefing summarises information and requirements around clinical and care governance contained in:
- the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Integration Scheme) (Scotland) Regulations 2014
- the Scottish Government’s Model Integration Scheme
- the Scottish Government’s Clinical and Care Governance Framework
- additional information the Scottish Government has indicated they will look for when reviewing and approving integration schemes
