POLICY: Advanced dementia – 8 pillar model

The RCN Scotland response to the Alzheimer Scotland consultation on developing the 8 pillars model of community support

In this response, RCN Scotland supported the need for a joined up and coordinated approach to caring for people living with advanced dementia and welcomed the Alzheimer Scotland’s advanced dementia model’s focus on the redesign of services, support for the workforce to implement such a model, current service pressures which could present barriers and also how end of life care fits within the model.
