POLICY: Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 Proposals for Reform

26 April 2018
RCN response to the Scottish Government Consultation on Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 Proposals for Reform
RCN Scotland is supportive of some of the proposed reforms to the Adults With Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000. However, we have highlighted a number of areas where there is a need for greater clarity about some of the proposals. This is a complex piece of legislation, and it is vital that its provisions are carefully communicated to practitioners and the wider public. There must too be investment in training and education for practitioners, as well as resource and capacity for them to carry out these roles.
